Counting Books Before They Hatch

From Havenwood Press: Busy in the Sun for Christmas 2026

It might be too soon to send this update. A lot of things still need to happen before autumn—but we have every reason to hope that the third Big Old Garden book, Busy in the Sun, will be available for stocking stuffers this Christmas!

Even more exciting is what happened once we saw this beautiful cover painting by our illustrator, Sydni Lee.

Releasing along with Busy in the Sun, if all goes well, will be matching, brand-new editions of the first two Big Old Garden books, featuring two more of Sydni’s original illustrations!

These aren’t ready to share yet, but I’m excited to share how they all look together in a couple of months. In the meantime, I plan to spend as much time outside as I can, and hope you all get to do the same.
